Business : Tootsies to raise funds for area Police, Fire and Ambulance

Vinton Tootsie's will be holding their annual fundraisers to support the area Police, Fire and Ambulance departments.  A portion of the sales, 10%, through these days will be given to the following departments.

From October 11-13 funds raised will go to the Police Department. 

Vinton Police Department will use the money for its new “Lost” program. A database where information is kept about adults and children who may have a tendency to wander off. It will assist officers in where the person may be going or how to communicate with them if they have a disability.

La Porte City Police Department will use their money for 6 Thanksgiving meals for local families and “Christmas Shopping with a Cop” program.

October 18-20 fundraiser will support the North Benton Ambulance.

The Fire Department will benefit from October 25-27.
