VSHS Choirs perform to Standing Room Only Crowd

To honor the 501st anniversary of Silent Night, the VSHSC performed the original German Stille Nacht The Vinton-Shellsburg High School choirs put a standing-room audience in the holiday spirit Thursday night in the high school auditorium, under the direction of Michala Martin.The Treble Choir began the show with I Will Be The Gladdest Thing featuring a quartet that included Haley Clark, Molly Haisman, Maya Lapan-Islas and Kaelyn Pettyjohn.

Middle School Choirs Perform and Wow the Crowd

Holiday Choral Extravaganza puts the crowd into the Christmas Spirit Director Lois Martin brought her middle school choirs to the Vinton-Shellsburg High School auditorium Thursday night and rocked the sold-out audience.The 6th-graders — in their first ever public performance — opened the night with When Sweet Winter Comes Again and Feliz Navidad featuring Leo Glynn, Jacoby Johnson, Keyan Cook, Cadee Redlinger, Addy Ingram, Mieke Ternus and Vera CelloNext on stage were the 7th-grader who opened with Fum, Fum, Fum which included a flute quartet of Haylee Karr, Celeste Miller, Lena Roy, and Jazmyn Dods.

Union Carolers visit Windsor Manor

Wednesday evening, the Union Carolers made a visit to the residents of Windsor Manor Assisted Living. The Union students entertained the group with traditional carols as well as a twist on some of the old, the audience thoroughly enjoyed the performance.Singing without accompaniment allowed the talent of the singers to shine through even brighter.

ACT I to hold Holiday Variety Show Tryouts
