I’ve been repeatedly stopped on the street and in the Fareway aisles by Palace patrons anxiously awaiting the arrival of “Last Vegas!” Clear your calendars, everybody – this “Wild Hogs” meets “The Hangover” comedy adventure hits our silver screen on Friday, November 15 through Thursday, November 21 at 7 pm, and Monday, November 18 at 2 pm.
Four friends, portrayed by blockbuster superstars Michael Douglas, Morgan Freeman, Kevin Kline, and Robert De Niro, organize a final bachelor fling in Vegas for their single friend the night before his wedding. What could possible go wrong?
This movie runs 90 minutes and is rated PG-13. There’s been a lot of press the past few weeks surrounding the growing trend toward more violence in PG-13 films. A PG-13 rating is always of concern to me, however usually due to the borderline sexual content.
“Last Vegas” is no exception. Kids-in-mind.com gives this senior citizen romp high ratings - meaning lots of sex, violence, and profanity. I do know it was originally rated R, which means they probably took out one F-word and called it good. Adults, enjoy a raucous evening out, but leave the kids at home.
Due to the high interest generated by “Last Vegas,” I recommend purchasing your tickets in advance. You may stop at the box office any evening to buy your tickets for a later date, or reserve your seats online at www.vintonpalace.org.
Special thanks to Art Fine, who expertly penned “In Depth” for me throughout the past two months while I took a break to devote my energy to the high school musical. I know you all missed my clever and insightful reviews that are more prediction than review, but it was nice to take a break.
See you at Sin City!
