Entertainment : In Depth: Delivery Man

As the temperature plummets, we need something to laugh about.  Come in out of the cold for the warm-hearted belly laugh “Delivery Man,” playing the Palace Friday, December 6 through Thursday, December 12 at 7 pm, and Monday, December 9 at 2 pm.

Vince Vaughn is David Woziak, the man with 500+ kids, fathered through sperm donations twenty years ago.  Rated PG-13 (the subject matter should prevent you from bringing impressionable youth) and running one hour and 45 minutes, this quirky comedy will put you in a lovely mood for the holiday season.

While critics are not loving this movie, they do give Vaughn high marks.  He’s a funny, funny guy, well worth your $3 in my book.

“How I Met Your Mother” fans will enjoy Colbie Smulders (Robin Scherbatsky) with their popcorn.  She’s a perfect foil for Vaughn, starring as his pregnant girlfriend.

DECEMBER REVISITED

If you picked up a December calendar last week, make sure to grab the recently updated version. “Frozen” is topping the box office charts, so of course Disney decided we can’t have it ‘til the end of the month. 

The good news – we get to bump “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire” up a week!  Katniss, Peeta, and the gang will battle the odds on the Palace silver screen December 20 through 26.  The animated “Frozen” now opens on the 27th.
