More dystopian young adult fare with “Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials,” playing Friday, October 2 through Thursday, October 8 at 7 pm every night, and 2 pm on Monday, October 5.

In this second installment of the epic "Maze Runner" series, Thomas (Dylan O'Brien) and his fellow adventurers search for clues about the mysterious organization, the WCKD. Their quest leads them to Scorch, a desolate landscape filled with unimaginable obstacles.

Rated PG-13 for extended sequences of violence and action, some thematic elements, substance use, and language, “The Scorch Trials” promises two hours and ten minutes of suspense-filled fun.

OCTOBER

Lots to choose from after “Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials,” including De Niro and Hathaway in “The Intern,” and Redford and Nolte in “A Walk in the Woods.” For Halloween, get your creep on with “The Visit.” Finally, Drac is back in “Hotel Transylvania 2.”

WAR ROOM UPDATE

Good things come to those who wait and patience is a virtue, right? “War Room” will open at the Palace on November 6.
