I’m still flying high from last week’s movie. If you missed De Niro and Hathaway at the Palace, be sure to catch “The Intern” when it comes out on DVD. Such a funny and lovely film.
Next up – two more favorites – Robert Redford and Nick Nolte. “A Walk in the Woods” opens tonight, Friday, October 16 and runs through Thursday, October 22 at 7 pm, as well as showing in our regular matinee on Monday at 2 pm.
The Sundance Kid is older, yes, but still wonderfully rugged as Bill Bryson. And cranky cop Jack Cates (“48 hours”) brings his usual gravelly-voiced bravado as Katz.
I did read that Redford has been nursing this project for several years, initially with the hope of reteaming with Paul Newman. *sigh* Yes, that would have been amazing, but Nolte brings his own volatile charm to the role.
“A Walk in the Woods” is rated R (our website and calendar mistakenly reported PG-13, sorry!) for language and some sexual references, and runs just over 100 minutes. Bring your best buddy!
NOVEMBER
November looks GREAT! “War Room,” “Goosebumps,” “The Martian,” “Bridge of Spies,” and first up in December – “Spectre.” Calendar coming soon. Apologies to Johnny Depp fans – no “Black Mass” at the Palace. L I heard it’s fantastic, though.
