Grant Severtsgaard of the Bruce Boosters in Benton County, brought in a first place ribbon with his State Fair Entry. He preserved and mounted a wild turkey fan. Severtsgaard entered this into the Iowa State Fair Exhibits & Communications competition in the Static department of the Ag & Natural Resources, under the Fish & Wildlife class.

Eleanor Moen also a member of the Bruce Boosters displayed her entry for the Iowa State Fair. With the brief description given at the fair, "A collection of bugs found in my backyard pinned in a display case." Moen also entered the same category under the Entomology classification and was awarded the red ribbon for her display.

Addyson Sweeney, Polk 101, brought home a red ribbon as well in her entry under the "Other Agriculture and Natural Resources." She created a small-scale house and farm display with animals, garden, equipment, and family.

Avery Sweeney, Polk 101, chose the same category. Using an antique water bucket with succulents planted in it which also included a piece of driftwood and small rocks is part of the arrangement, the effort brought home the blue ribbon.
