Events and Activities : Medallion Hunt begins; first clues to be offered June 6

The VintonParksand Recreation Department will be starting the Medallion Hunt, once again for the 21st Anniversary of Party in the Park. The Medallion Hunt will begin June 6, 2012and end June 20, 2012. There will only be 8 Medallions hidden this year, so we are limiting it to one per household. Thanks for your cooperation in this matter.

This year’s Medallions represent all of the hard working community members that put out such a great effort to get our community to a once again vibrant town after the storm of July 2011. The medallions have been made from dry limbs and our lasered with the 2012 logo. Each winner will get to keep this treasure and receive a Party in the Park t-shirt.

Clues will be released through the local media beginning Wednesday, June 6th. The clues have been developed by three guys who not only love to play mind games, but they also have lots of knowledge on the art of twisting your words. Take part in this fun and watch for the clues next week.

The Rules

· Medallions are hidden on city property by 6:00 a.m. each day, please respect private property when looking.

· Only one Medallion per family, please discontinue looking after you have your Medallion.

· Return to the Vinton Recreation Center for your Party in the Park T-shirt immediately.

· Saturday, June 23rd, there will be a drawing for the winners for the Grand Prize during evening entertainment, you must be present to win.
