Events and Activities : Free Fishing Weekend: BC Conservation plans two clinics

In recognition of Iowa's Free Fishing weekend, Benton County Conservation will be hosting fishing clinics this weekend at Rodgers and Hannen Parks.

The clinic at Rodgers Park near Vinton, will start at 6:30 p.m., Friday, June 7. Participants are asked to meet at the park office. The clinic at Hannen Park, near Blairstown, will start at 8:00 a.m., Saturday, June 8. Participants are asked to meet at the park office. Basic casting techniques, knot tying, and general fishing tips will be covered prior to fishing. A limited number of fishing poles and bait will be provided, however participants may provide their own as well. Advance registration appreciated but not required.
