On Sunday July 7, Benton County Conservation will be hosting a fishing clinic for local veterans at Rodgers Park in the enclosed shelter on the east side of the Park. Breakfast will be served in the morning from 7-10:30. Free will offering includes Breakfast and lunch.

Basic casting techniques, knot tying and general fishing tips will be covered prior to fishing.

A limited number of fishing poles and bait will be provided, but participants may provide their own as well. Veterans, feel free to bring your grandchildren along. For more information, contact Dale Henry at 319-573-1859, Dennis Miller at 319-573-4891 or David Ervin at 319-202-4301.

dh June 20, 2013, 9:43 pm As VFW commander, I would like to make it clear that the public is invited to breakfast and lunch as are all veterans.You do NOT need to be a member of either organization to come out and have some fun.The meals will be open rain or shine!!
