Government : New Opening on the VMEU Board, Anyone interested is encouraged to apply

The Mayor, Bud Maynard, as well as the VMEU board received a notice of resignation from Jon Kremer a long time member of the VMEU board. Kremer will be relocating to the Cedar Rapids area, so will no longer qualify to serve on the City of Vinton's Electric Board. 

Many thanks were given to Kremer after the announcement at the meeting Tuesday night. 

The Mayor announced at the City Council Meeting on Thursday that if anyone is interested to submit a bio and a fill out a short application which can be received from Chris Ward or Cindy at City Hall. 

They would like any applicants to contact them as soon as possible so that it can be discussed at the next council meeting in two weeks.
