Health and Fitness : Free Dental Care For Kids April 3 at Hawkeye Community College Dental Clinic

Part of American Dental Association’s Give Kids a Smile® Initiative

Free dental care is available for children ages 3-14 during a special Give Kids a Smile® event planned for Friday, April 3, 2026, from 10:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. in the Dental Clinic at Hawkeye Community College, 1501 E. Orange Rd, Waterloo, Iowa. 

Give Kids a Smile® is a national outreach program dedicated to improving children’s oral health by providing free dental care and education to underserved kids. Through the generosity of volunteer dentists, hygienists, and community partners, the program delivers exams, cleanings, preventive treatments, and needed dental care to children who might otherwise go without. Its mission is simple but powerful: to relieve pain, prevent disease, and help every child grow up healthy, confident, and ready to learn with a bright, healthy smile.

Each child who attends will receive a dental exam with x-rays, teeth cleaning, preventative treatment, and restorative care. Kids will also learn how to brush, floss, and take care of their teeth in a safe, friendly setting.
