The Eastern Iowa Honor Flights recently received several donations. As we look forward to our last flight of 2014 (October 21), we shall soon begin planning for our 2015 flight season, and anticipate doing 4 flights again next year. This is all made possible by the tremendous support of individuals, groups, and corporations. We would like to thank the Riders from American Legion Post #45, Manchester, Iowa for their support of the Eastern Iowa Honor Flight. They presented us with a check in the amount of $1100.00. Our thanks to Mike Zellner (President), Travis Letts (Vice-President), Samantha Edwards (Secretary), Mike Paulsen, and Loras Mensen, along with other members of the group for their tremendous donation. Thank you for thinking of our veterans and the Eastern Iowa Honor Flight. Also shown in the picture is Russ Dunn (far left), President, Eastern Iowa Honor Flight, and Roger Uthoff (far right), Treasurer, Eastern Iowa Honor Flight. Secondly, we have received a donation in the amount of $4700.00 from the Hawkeye Area Labor Council.
