Adult Arrests

September 3:Daniel J. Mulder , 30, Vinton; Charged with False Reports to Law Enforcement (Serious Misdemeanor).

September 3: William E. Cummings, 82, Vinton; Charged with Animal Abuse (Aggravated Misdemeanor).

September 5: Timothy M. Cihla, 29, Cedar Rapids; Intrastate Warrant.

September 11: Scott L. Michael, 28, Garrison; Charged with Driving While Barred (Aggravated Misdemeanor) and Driving While Suspended (Simple Misdemeanor).

September 15: Phillip J. Horak, 33, Cedar Rapids; Intrastate Warrant

September 20: Kevin J. Wheeler, 21, Vinton; Charged with Burglary 3rd Degree (Class “D” Felony), Criminal Mischief 3rd Degree (Aggravated Misdemeanor), and Theft 5th Degree (Simple Misdemeanor).

September 20: David L. Walthart, 57, Vinton; Charged with Public Intoxication (Simple Misdemeanor).

September 22 Jordan D. Turner, 21, Vinton; Charged with Theft 5th Degree (Simple Misdemeanor).

Juvenile Referrals

A 13 year old female was referred to Juvenile Probation for False Reports to Law Enforcement (Simple Misdemeanor).

A 15 year old and a 16 year old male were referred to Juvenile Probation for Possession of a Controlled Substance (Serious Misdemeanor) and Possession of Alcohol Under Age 21 (Simple Misdemeanor).

A 16 year old male was referred to Juvenile Probation for Reckless Use of Fire (Serious Misdemeanor).

Three citations were issued in September. One citations resulted from one reported traffic accidents, one for minor using tobacco, and the remainder of the citations were for other traffic offenses.

Ninteen written warnings were issued in September.

Two parking/street storage citation were issued in September.

For the month of September, 137 complaints/calls for service by the Vinton Police Department.
