On May 10, 2016 five individuals went to Hawkeye Community College in Waterloo, IA to participate in District Floriculture Career Development Event.

The team placed 1st out of 8 teams.There are 400 points possible each.

The members that attended were Jessica Alderson, Erin Cantrell, Keri Webster, Sarah Siglin and Brianna Lundvall.

The different stations that the girls had to participate in were math problem solving, greenhouse management, plant ID, pesticide use and application, and floral design. Each of these tasks are scored for an individual scored and added together for the team score.

The places are as follows:
