Three accidents on Tuesday and Wednesday morning resulted in damage to three vehicles, but nobody was reported seriously injured.
On Tuesday, the Benton County Sheriff's Office was alerted to a pick-up that had rolled into the ditch on 24th Avenue Drive, about a mile north of Minne Estema Park. Nobody was found in the vehicle. Later on Wednesday morning, traffic on 24th Ave (Highway 218) near the Van Horne/Newhall corner was tied up after a minivan collided with a fork lift, causing damage to both vehicles.
Earlier on Tuesday, a car was heading toward Shellburg on County Home Road and due to the fog a driver was unable to see the train cars on the tracks. The driver swerved to the side of the road, knocking down one of the signals, which landed on the back of the car.
Authorities are investigating.
