When VSCSD instructor RaeAnne Mason heard that the Downtown Beautification Committee had increased the number of flower pots they needed to get ready for Vinton's merchants from 67 to 81, she knew her West Campus students would help make short work of the task.
And they did just that, under the supervision of Cindy Elwick and Brenda Hackbarth, members of the committee that plants begonias in the giant flower pots and then "rents" them to Vinton's merchants for the summer.
"All they will need is to be watered," said Cindy, as she watched the students tear into the potting soil bags.
Once the Committee has them ready, the potted plants will be delivered to their summer locations by FFA members.
