News : Vinton Sesquicentennial Planning Underway; city to mark 150th anniversary in summer of 2019

As we begin to make plans to celebrate our 150th birthday, contact the Vinton Unlimited office if you are interested in lending your time and talents. While we know we have some time and an exact date hasn't been determined yet, we don't want this community milestone to sneak up on us. A milestone of this magnitude gives us the opportunity to reflect and celebrate our history and look to the future! The first ordinance the council members adopted set the boundaries for city wards. The second one was entitled, "An ordinance defining and punishing misdemeanors."
