News : VS FFA Members Compete at Iowa State Fair

By: Shelby McDonald, Co-Reporter We had 6 FFA members participate at this year's state fair at the Iowa State Fairgrounds in Des Moines August 8th- August 20th. Jakob Long exhibited beef cattle receiving reds, and Brock Ortner exhibited beef cattle also receiving reds.

Kaylee Sorum exhibited 2 horses, receiving whites, reds, and 1 blues. Nikki Venneman, Sadie Novotny, and Shelby McDonald participated in the photography,and their pictures were displayed in the FFA building during fair.

Nikki received 3 whites,and 1 Red , Sadie received 1 blue in photography, and Shelby received 2 reds, and 2 blues, and 3rd place in animal & wildlife photography. Great job to everyone this year at the state fair representing V-S FFA!
