News : Kwik Star Makes plans to Open in Vinton

At the city council meeting on Thursday night, Chris Ward, Vinton's City Administrator passed around copies of an email that he received just this afternoon. The email was to inform him of Kwik Star's plans to open a new store/gas station in Vinton. Plans are to locate the business just north of Theisen's on 13th St. and Highway 218. There isn't much more information available at this time, we will keep you posted with any updates!

LS April 26, 2019, 1:18 am We don�t need another gas station!!! Especially when they are all located near each other.???? Good grief! Scrap the plans! How about getting a Wal-mart that was once on the table but got voted out (bad move) years ago. That would actually be needed and it would stay in business unlike all the other stores that come and go which all sell over priced junk! I�m going to keep going to Cedar Rapids till we get a Walmart here. Doesn�t have to be a Super Walmart, just a small one, its better than anything that ever came to this town.
