Braxton Morrison a Vinton native, owns and operates a business called. Survive Today LLC.

Survive Today is a business that helps to teach, train and prepare people for that moment in their life when the only thought is to 'survive today.'

Morrison conducts firearms, medical, CPR/BLS (Basic Life Support) and other courses. He believes that you should feel comfortable in a defensive situation if needed with a firearm or if you are in the worst babysitting gig of your life and you need to know CPR.  The goal of his business is to instill confidence in stressful situations. 

Morrison is certified to teach courses through; I.C.E Training Company as a Defensive, Firearms Coach (DFC), the National Rifle Association as a Basic Pistol Instructor, The National Registry for Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) as well as the Iowa Department of Public Health (IDPH) as an Emergency Medical Technician along with the National Association for Emergency Medical Technicians (NAEMT) as a Tactical Combat Casualty Care Instructor and is also a Tactical Emergency Casualty Care Provider (TECC). 

He's also certified through the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, American Safety and Health Institute, certified by the Iowa Law Enforcement Academy (ILEA) as a police officer,  among others. He is available to teach and train organizations or groups that might feel the need for additional training. 

One of the ongoing classes that he has taught and will continue to lead is the Stop the Bleed. This class covers three basic needs to control bleeding. In these classes, he demonstrates the skills needed and works to make sure the attendees of the class are able to perform these skills.

Morrison is a graduate from the Upper Iowa University with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and is a graduate of Walden University with a master's degree in Emergency Management.

He will be part of the training for the Stop the Bleed training mentioned in this article.
