News : North Eden Willing Workers To Donate Cans to American Legion

The North Eden Willing Workers will be taking care of the garbage pick up and recycling at the Fairgrounds again this year. The task is definitely quite the undertaking!  

The group will have recycling containers out again which will be labeled as PLASTIC or CANS.  “This year our club has decided to donate ALL the can money we get from cans in recycled containers BACK to the American Legion” said Tressa Walton who helps with the group.

“We are hoping this will encourage ALL people to help us get cans in the recycling containers.  Not to mention that we save approximately 20 bags of plastic bottles from  the landfill each year if people recycle their water bottles, Gatorade bottles, etc.” she said.

So be sure to take a minute and sort your trash while at the fair,  helping the Legion while you’re at it!
