News : Santa Arrives at the Vinton Skate Center to hear the Christmas Wish Lists

Breakfast with Santa was enjoyed by several area children this year. From teeny tiny babies to the children old enough to roll their eyes at mom and say, "Really?" Of course, there were several children enchanted by the bearded fellow, and some brought Santa a picture that they had colored for him. 

Santa knew most of the children and their parents and greeted them with a hearty ho, ho, ho. Each child recieved a little gift bag from Santa to take home with them. 

This year, Santa was accompanied to the event by Greg Walston. A special thank you to all of the elves who assisted with the event, especially the Vinton Parks and Rec staff, and all of the elves who set the event up, then tore it down, the elves who cooked and cleaned up the kitchen and the ones who decorated and set a place for Santa. Well done!
