The Board recognized Shelly Williams as a Vinton-Shellsburg Positive Difference Maker for her outstanding service to students and families throughout her years as a bus driver and associate at the alternative high school.

As Shelly prepares for retirement, district leaders highlighted her compassion, generosity, and dedication to supporting students beyond the classroom. She recently organized donations and coordinated the graduation celebration for alternative high school students to ensure they were recognized in a meaningful way.

Shelly has also quietly supported students with basic needs, transportation assistance, rides to work, and other acts of kindness that have made a lasting impact on students and families across the district.
