Lucille F. Rinderknecht, 94, died Friday, August 20, 2010 at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids, following a brief illness.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM, Monday, August 23, 2010 at St. Stephen's Lutheran church in Atkins with Rev. Douglas Woltemath officiating. Graveside Services will be held at 1:30 PM at St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery in Luzerne. Visitation will also be held at the church in Atkins from 2 to 5 PM on Sunday. A Memorial Fund has been established. Phillips Funeral Home in Vinton is in charge of arrangements.

Lucille was born June 5, 1916 at Luzerne to George F. and Louise (Lage) Radeke and graduated from the Belle Plaine High School in 1934. On September 8, 1937 she married Vernon J. Meyer who preceded her in death on June 19, 1961. She married Wilbert H. Rinderknecht on April 21, 1967 and she was widowed for a second time on October 5, 1993.

Lucille was a long time member of St. Stephen's Lutheran Church where she enjoyed membership in the Ladies Society.

She is survived by her son, Kenneth (Xiaolu) Meyer of Cincinnati, OH; her daughter, Karen Meyer of Indianapolis, IN; her step-son, David (Jane) Rinderknecht of Wyckoff, NJ; her step-daughter, Carol (John) Leasure of Champaign, IL; her granddaughter, Lisa (Nate) Eimer; her grandson, Eric (Catherine) Meyer; her step-grandsons, Mike (Michelle) Rinderknecht, Jeff (Paula) Leasure, and Dan Leasure; her step-granddaughter, Kim (Steve) Miklandric; and eleven great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and two husbands, she was preceded in death by her sister, Helen Roehr; and her brother, George L. Radeke.
