Kari England, 50, died Tuesday, September 1, 2015, at home from a lengthy battle with Melanoma.

Memorial services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, September 5, at Iles-Westover Chapel. Private inurnment will be at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery at a later date.

Kari was born October 3, 1964, in Des Moines to Frank and Nancy Christy. She graduated from Dowling High School in 1983. Kari married John Darrin England on July 23, 1988 and they were blessed with two beautiful daughters, Sara and Sami. They made their home in Panora, Sergeant Bluff, Williamsburg and Vinton following John’s career with the Iowa Army National Guard.

Kari is survived by her husband of 27 years, John, her daughters, Sara and Sami; granddaughter, Alexa Bolstad, her mother, Nancy Christy, her siblings, Lynn Berrier (Charles), Kevin Christy (Toni), Roberta McClure (Dan), Kelly Christy, Anthony Christy (Kathleen) and Shannon Christy (Gina). She was preceded in death by her brother, Shawn and her father, Frank Christy.

The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 p.m. Friday at Iles-Westover Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the family for a college education fund for her grandchildren. Online condolences will be welcomed at IlesCares.com.
