SHELLSBURG: William “Bill” Joel Busler, 63 of Shellsburg died Thursday, November 26, 2015 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids following a brave fight with cancer.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM, Monday, November 2015 at Oak Grove Church near Shellsburg with Pastor Steve Watson officiating. Private Committal services will be held. Visitation will be held at Phillips Family Center, 605 Second Avenue in Vinton from 2 to 5 PM on Sunday. A Memorial Fund has been established.

“Bill” was born November 9, 1952 in Vinton to Wilbur Joel and Gertrude Irene (Ford) Busler. He graduated from Washington High School in Vinton. “Bill” worked for Benco Manufacturing in Belle Plaine and Ideal Industries in Vinton.

He loved being a member of Oak Grove Church. “Bill” collected miniatures, loved cats and his fish. He also enjoyed attending the Iowa State Fair, flea markets and garage sales. “Bill” loved people and will be greatly missed by all those who knew him.

He is survived by his brothers, Dale (Bobbie) Busler of Mt. Vernon and Robert (Penny) Busler of Vinton; his sister, Twylah Kay Busler of Vinton; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Edward Busler.
