Ken was born on August 19th, 1940 on the family farm in rural Benton County to his parents Louie and Etta (Hoeck) Schueler. He graduated from Van Horne High School in 1958. He was married to Joyce (Long) on August 3rd 1962. Ken worked at Hawk Bilt in Vinton for many years, and later for Highway Equipment Company in Cedar Rapids until his retirement.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce; daughter Dawn (Doug) Yenser; sons Lance (Solveigh) and Wade (Kim) Schueler; 9 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by both of his parents (Louis and Henrietta) and sisters (Louise and Edna); great-grandson Easton Lindeman; and great-granddaughter Brielle Wilson.
