Pamela Sue Koss, 70, of Cedar Rapids, died Sunday, Oct. 23, 2022, in her home surrounded by her family. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 27, 2022, at First Lutheran Church in Cedar Rapids. A visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial: 1:30 p.m. at Vining National Cemetery, Vining, Iowa.

Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Loren; her daughters, Lisa (Paul) Betterton of Atkins, Iowa, and Lauri Scalf of Eden Prairie, Minn.; a son, Timothy (Denise) Koss of Winder, Ga.; her grandchildren, Keaton (and fiancé Dakota) Betterton, Kelsey (Nate) Tellin, Kolton Betterton, Kaylee (and fiancé Luke) Betterton and their daughter, Ivy Johnson, Katie Betterton, Kaden Betterton, Emily Scalf, Nora Scalf, David Koss, Johnathan Koss, and Zachary Koss. Also surviving are a favorite niece, Kathy (Keith) Young, a sister-in-law, Suzanne Weger, a life-long best friend, Cathy Bowen, and the Lunch Bunch Group, Linda, Harlene, Mike, and Gretchen. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Charlotte Walser; and a brother, Ronald Weger.

Pamela was born Feb. 21, 1952, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of Warren and Norma (Pollock) Weger. She graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1970. She married the love of her life, Loren Koss, on Aug. 8, 1970, at First Lutheran Church in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Pam was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, friend, role model and loving care giver. She gave selflessly to everyone she cared about. She enjoyed spending time with family, traveling to see her grandchildren, and attending many extra-curricular activities.
