Renea Roster, 68, died Sunday, October 30, 2022 at Pinnacle Specialty Care, Cedar Falls. Services: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Van Steenhuyse-Teahen Funeral Home, Vinton. Friends may visit with the family Monday from 4 to 6 p.m. and after 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial: Maplewood Cemetery, Vinton.

Renea is survived by her son, Neal (Nichole) Daringer of NJ; daughters: Alison (Jon) Conkling and Rachel (John) Hein all of Waterloo; mother, Roxy Roster of Vinton; brothers: Curtis (Barb) Roster of Vinton and David (Kris) Roster of MN; sister, Kristy (Russell) Haefner of Vinton; and grandchildren: David, Cody, Abigail, Mars, Malachi, Isaiah, Faith, James, Kaitlyn, Olivia, Dakota and Arianna.

Preceding Renea in death was her father in 2007; paternal and maternal grandparents; numerous aunts and uncles; and granddaughter, Alexis.

Renea was born September 12, 1954 in Vinton, the daughter of Wayne and Roxy (Rammelsberg) Roster. She attended school in Vinton, graduating in 1972. While employed as a laboratory technologist, she attended Hawkeye Community College earning her AAS with an emphasis in Laboratory Science. Renea went on to Upper Iowa University to earn her BS degree in HR Management with a minor in accounting. Renea had started her Master's Degree with only two classes short of attaining it.

On June 16, 1979, Renea married Bill Daringer at Hudson. The couple later divorced, but remained friends.

Renea was a member of Wesley UMC, Vinton as a youth, and a current member of First Baptist Church in Waterloo. She held laboratory certifications with the American Society of Clinical Pathologists and National Credentialing Agency for Laboratory Personnel.

In her leisure time, Renea loved to work on family genealogy, read her Bible, sing all kinds of music from classical, country, and Christian and loved to spend time with friends as well as her greatest joy, her family.

Memorials may be directed to Wesley United Methodist Church Food Pantry, Vinton and the First Baptist Church of Waterloo.
