Randy Aswegan
NEWHALL: Randy Aswegan, 55, died Monday, April 25, 2011 at his residence following a courageous battle with cancer.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 am, Friday, April 29, 2011 at St. Andrew's Lutheran Church in Van Horne with Rev. David Lingard officiating. Interment will be held at St. John Lutheran Cemetery in Newhall. Visitation will be held at the Fellowship Hall at St. Andrew's from 4 to 8 pm on Thursday. A Memorial Fund has been established.
Randy was born January 23, 1956 at Grundy Center to Glenn and Shirley Aswegan and graduated from Benton Community High School.
Randy was the owner/operator of RLA Trucking. His trucking business was his life and he was always buffing his rig and trailers. He also enjoyed his Harley, fixing old Cub Cadet mowers, hunting, and fishing.
Randy is survived by his wife of twenty-five years, Stephanie Hatfield of Newhall; his father, Glenn Aswegan of Keystone; his children, Jeremy, Mandy and Mindy; his step-children, Rob, and Dustin; sixteen grandchildren; his brothers, Russell and Richard; his sisters, Connie, and Carla.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley on March 28, 2011; his brother, Robert, and his sister, Cathy.
