Audrey A. (Schuster) Vandenburgh, 59, passed away unexpectedly on Monday morning, February 13, 2023. A memorial visitation will be held from 10:30 AM to 2:00 PM on Monday, February 20, 2023 at Prasser-Kleczka Funeral Homes (3275 South Howell Ave., Milwaukee, WI.) with a memorial service celebrating Audrey's life at 12 PM.

Audrey was born August 3, 1963 to Rev. Frederick and Ann (Schroeder) Schuster. She was raised in Vinton and graduated from Washington High School in 1981. She graduated from culinary arts school and turned her passion for cooking into a career as a chef. She was united in marriage to Al Vandenburgh on October 8, 1994 in Milwaukee.

In her 30-year career as a chef, Audrey worked at Lake Park Bistro, The Pfister and several venues at Potawatomi Casino. She impacted countless people as a mentor during her career. Although she was a fantastic chef, her mentoring of anyone who was passionate and hard working was her most proud accomplishment.

Audrey was a loving and devoted wife and she was very loyal to her friends and family. If anyone she worked with was treated unfairly, regardless of their position, Audrey was sure to stand up for them. It was like getting between a momma bear and her cubs.

Audrey is survived by her husband Alan of Milwaukee, WS; sister, Ellen Schuster of Davenport; brother Steve (Taresa) Schuster of Rockford, IL; mother-in-law, Barbara Harmening; brother-in-law, Scott Vandenburgh; and nieces and nephews, Calvin, William, Hayden, Yonas and Karin.

She was preceded in death by her parents Fred and Ann Schuster.
