Obituaries : Edward C. Bevins

CEDAR RAPIDS: Edward C. Bevins, 68, died Thursday, December 22, 2011 at Manor Card in Cedar Rapids following an extended illness.

Private Graveside Services will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery near Keystone.

Edward was born August 24, 1943 at Cedar Rapids to Clement and Mabel (Seeck) Bevins and graduated from the Van Horne High School.

He was employed at Cherry Burrell and retired from Evergreen Packaging in Cedar Rapids after twenty-five years.In his leisure he enjoyed bowling and socializing.

Edward is survived by his sisters, Kathleen Novak of Cedar Rapids, Doris Osborn of Keystone, and Ilene (Ed) Strellner of Cedar Rapids and formerly of Van Horne; and many nieces and nephews/

He was preceded in death by his parents; one infant brother; and his brothers-in-law, Wesley Novak and Harold Osborn.
