Dear Editor,

Four terrorists attacks with fatalities in two weeks time.

To democrats who hold up funding for the coast guard and TSA and other law enforcement. Just how long can they endure without a paycheck? What NOW?

SHAME ON YOU.

jt March 17, 2026, 2:41 pm It is the responsibility of the party in power to bring a bill that can pass with bipartisan support. That may mean compromise so both parties can meet in the middle. Democrats have initiated a bill without increased ICE funding and more accountability for agents in the field. Republicans are not interested in this. That seems to be the hold up here on causing the shut down. I understand the reluctance to vote for more money to an agency which has misused the current money appropriated to ICE operations. Two top officials forced to resign because of mismanaging money, reduced training, and use of agents. Is it possible to carve out the ICE agency as a separate issue and pass the other appropriations?
