The VS boys bowling team won its first contest last week.
Cole Garwood led the Vinton-Shellsburg boys bowling team to victory in its first meet on Nov. 26, at Berry's Lanes in Vinton.
Garwood had the high game and high series scores (236 and 416) as the Vikings defeated AGWSR. The JV team also won.
