The high school softball season gets a little extension for one Vikette and her coach next week.

Vinton-Shellsburg senior second baseman Brittany Robertson will be playing Monday in the Iowa Girls’ Coaches Association All-Star Games at Waukee High School. Three teams of All-Stars (the Red, White and Blue Teams) Robertson will be a member of the Red Team, which just happens to be co-coached by Central DeWitt’s Kevin Roling and Vikette head coach Bari Parrott.

Robertson will be one of five WaMaC Conference players in the series, four of them on the Red Team. She’ll be joined on the Reds by Cassie Eganhouse of Central DeWitt, Hailey Bickford of Maquoketa and Abby Flannagan of West Delaware. Mount Vernon’s Karly Cochrane will be on the Blue Team.

The schedule for Monday is as follows:

4 p.m.: Red Team vs. White Team

6 p.m.: White Team vs. Blue Team

7:30 p.m.: Red Team vs. Blue Team
