Lauren Tandy led the Vikettes at S. Tama, finishing tied for 8th.

Playing without two varsity golfers, the Vinton-Shellsburg Vikettes finished in seventh place at the Sout. Tama tournament on Saturday, May 14. Sophomore Lauren Tandy led the Vikettes; she tied for 8th place.

We played without two of our varsity, so I don’t think our score is a true reflection of our team’s ability.  However, this 18 hole tourney gave freshman, Lindsey Miller, an opportunity to play this course. Lauren Tandy was low for V-S and she tied for 8th, so received a medal. The low 10 golfers medaled. Mara Jessen played the 18 holes with only 32 putts. For once this spring we enjoyed favorable weather.
