The State USBC bowling tournament wrapped up with Berry's Bowler finishing well in all divisions. Berry's Lanes league bowlers had four teams and six individual bowlers competing in many different divisions. An individual bowler can bowl up to 3 times in the state competition:
- Team (Team of four bowlers)
- Doubles (Team up with a fellow USBC bowler)
- Singles
They can also register to compete in all events, where their competition scores are added up and you are ranked by your total overall score. The youth bowlers registered back in February to compete in the State USBC tournament which was hosted in Cedar Rapids this year. Each bowlers average as of 1/10/2015 is used for the state competition. According to the individuals bowling average they are placed into divisions where they compete for $100 college scholarships for a first place finish. Depending on the number of participants they award plaques to other high scores.
