Our young ladies were disappointed to not bring home the team trophy, although we didn't score poorly and placed second by only six strokes.  Independence improved and shot lights out! We had scored 37 strokes less than they did at their course April 13.  Obviously they put it together today.

It was a great round for senior Lauren Tandy; she improved from a 6th place medal last year to winning her second tournament medalist honor this season.  She played steady throughout her round. Halie Engler filled a varsity spot for the first time and really came to play; she and Rachel Tandy had solid rounds.  Brandi Gerber filled out our team score and had low putts with 16.  The eleven girls on our 2016 team are very special; they support each other at all times.  And they are all capable of playing solid golf.

We finish our home meets by hosting CPU tomorrow at Wildcat Golf Course in Shellsburg.
