Sports : VSHS Soccer season begins today; shirt fund-raisers under way

The Vinton-Shellsburg High School soccer season beginstoday, as the girls travel to Tiffin to play Clear Creek-Amana. Both the boys and girls will play on Friday, with the Vikettes hosting Western Dubuque and the Vikettes traveling to Epworth to play WD. The Vikettes have a new head coach this year: Megan Hesson. The Viking coach is Kyle McAbee, who is starting his second year as head coach.
