Vikings scored 6 runs in the first two innings, but could not hold the lead as Solon won 12-8. The Vikings defense had 5 errors and allowed 7 unearned runs in the loss. Scott Betterton pitched very well--- striking out 8 and only walking 1 batter. Tanner Davis continued his hot streak with 2 hits and 3 RBI's. Vikings lost 7-9 in game 2 as their late rally fell short. Will Edwards lead the Viking attack with 3 doubles. Wes Edwards, Tanner Davis, Jared Thompson, and David Bray all had 2 hits a piece and 2 RBI's on the night. Wes Edwards took the loss, as Blake Bohnsack pitched 3 scoreless solid innings in relief. Vikings defense improved in Game 2 as Scottie Wirth and Nathan Struve each turned unassisted double plays.
