It wasn't the nicest of weather conditions, but VS had three of our varsity earn medals today. Sophomore, Lillie Lamont's 85 gave her 3rd place, Brandi Gerber was 7th with 91 and Rachel Tandy came in with a 10th place 93. Ms Lamont scored six pars and was solid on all of the par 3 holes. Rachel Tandy and Lauren Murray each recorded a birdie on the par 5 number 5 hole. Those were solid scores considering the quality players and weather conditions. We again broke 400 with a 389 team score; our third place finish was very positive.
Tuesday we join Marion, Williamsburg and Clear Creek-Amana at the Amana Golf Course for a make up meet at 3:00 pm. That will conclude our regular season. We will travel to Waverly Municipal Golf Course for regional play Monday, May 21 with a 10 am start.
