Our regular season golf meets concluded with this postponed event tonight. This is a very challenging golf course with wooded fairways, large greens and lots of sand traps. It is a long walk for high school golfers much of it uphill! Scores are usually higher on this course and it has a higher difficulty rating. Breaking 50 is always a goal, but particularly here. Sophomore Lillie Lamont (47) and senior Rachel Tandy (49) both achieved that marker with 17 and 18 putts respectively. Carli Lang was our fourth varsity counter for the first time; she has worked hard all season to achieve this.
Our 3A regional is hosted by Waverly at the Waverly Municipal Golf Course next Monday, May 21st with a ten o'clock start. There will be twelve teams and two will advance to State at Cold Water Links in Ames May 29 and 30th. Also advancing will be eight individuals.
