Sports : Winter Athletics Achieve Academic Recognition @ V-S HS!

During each activity season in Iowa, high school students are not only recognized for their accomplishments as performers or as athletes, but also recognized for their efforts in the classroom. The Vinton-Shellsburg Community School District is proud of the efforts our students put forth in the classroom. During the winter 2010-11 activity season, the following teams or groups have achieved state-wide academic recognition for their efforts.

** Excellence: Varsity Team Average GPA of 3.00-3.24 **

** Distinguished: Varsity Team Average GPA of 3.25-4.00 **

Girls – Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union (IGHSAU)

** Excellence: Varsity Team Average GPA of 3.20-3.60 **

** Distinguished: Varsity Team Average GPA of 3.61-4.00 **
