The Vinton-Shellsburg freshmen/sophomore girls came in second place in the Mount Vernon-Lisbon invitational, with 53 points. MV-L was first with 33 and Waverly-Shellrock third with 55.
Karley Kenney led the Frsh/soph girls by getting 4th place with a time of 19:19. Olivia Oltragge came in 10th with a time of 20:53.
In the boys freshmen/sophomore race, the Vikings had the top two finishers and three of the top 10. Wyatt Lyons finished first with a time of 18:52. Nolan Sagan was second at 19:21. Jordan Evans finished 7th with a time of 20:26. The Vikings finished second in team scores, behind Dubuque Hemstead.
The VS junior and senior boys, led by Ricky Jeray, came in fourth in team scoring. Jeray finished ninth with a time of 18:48.
Emma Horst led the junior/senior girls from Vinton-Shellsburg, finishing tenth with a time of 18:55.
