Erin Randall led the Vinton-Shellsburg girls golf team with a 46 in difficult conditions, as the Vikettes lost a dual at Williamsburg.

We had some solid rounds in less than ideal conditions at Williamsburg today.  So did Williamsburg.  I was pleased that the girls broke 200.  This course has over 30 sand traps.

Mara had one of her lowest rounds for the season and only 16 putts.  Erin continues to put up good numbers.  Natalie and Katie are consistent.  Again, this is a team effort; each person contributes even on the days her score doesn’t count towards the team score. 

We received word that we are assigned to the Ames Country Club for our district play, May 14.

Monday we play WAMAC Divisional at the Amana Colonies Golf Course at 3:00 p.m.; this is a challenging course.  Thursday we host our last home meet against Benton Community at Wildcat.
