The Vinton-Shellsburg Red Cedar Shooters Trap Team competed at the Iowa State Trap Championships at the Cedar Falls Gun Club on Saturday June 5th.    

This year, teams from 75 schools participated with 527 individuals competing on 96 five member squads.   Each shooter shot 100 targets:  50 from the 16yd distance and 50 from the 19yd distance.  Squad scoring is out of a total of 500 targets.

In their second year of competition the Red Cedar Shooters placed 13thout of 96 squads with a score of 436 of a possible 500.

Dalton Lebeda led the team by breaking  93 of 100 targets.  This tied him for 28thPlace out of  527 participants.

Bryce Burroughs broke 92 of his 100 targets. This tied him for 36thPlace.
