VFW Post 8884 accompanied 55 students from the North Linn High School to the VA Medical Center in Iowa City on December 21st. The students visited the Dental Lab, the Chemo/Dialysis Departments, X-Ray, Lab, and Mortuary.

Amvets 218 and VFW Post 8884 honor volunteers

The Vinton Amvets 218 and the VFW Post 8884 and families, met for their annual Christmas party. 41 members and families met attended. The highlight of the evening, was when VFW Commander - Dale Henry presented John Gualtier with a plaque recognizing his 6,525 volunteer hours at the Iowa City VA Hospital, he has volunteered for 20 years there.
