Join the ranks of 4-H judges or learn more about judging exhibits by attending a new 4-H Judges Training of Saturday, September 27, 9:15 am – 3:30 pm at Iowa State University Extension and Outreach - Polk County,1625 Adventure land Drive , Suite A, Altoona IA. The registration form is available at http://www.extension.iastate.edu/4h/judgestraining. Cost of the training is $40 for the full day or $20 for a half day. The training is limited to 40 people. Each participant will receive a three ring binder full of resource material. Lunch and refreshment will also be provided. Hear from Iowa State University Extension 4-H Youth Development staff, experienced 4-H Judges and 4-H Members how to evaluate, educate and encourage 4-Her’s exhibiting at County fairs. A panel of judges will be sharing insight and information during the lunch hour. During the afternoon participants will focus on a content are: Creative Arts, Personal Development, Family and Consumer Science, Agricultural and Natural Resources, Science Engineering and Technology. After successfully attending the six hour training your name and content area will be entered into the statewide 4-H Judges database.
