"Mark and I wanted to learn more about my Uncle Marvin A. Kraus' service and see the places that Dad spoke of." Marvin's brother, LuAnn's father, entered the Army after Marvin's death so the two men's mother did not have an easy go of it during World War II.

Benton County Candidates for the November Election. For Supervisor seats: Ron Tippett and Bruce Volz. For Sheriff, Dave Upah On Tuesday, June 4, 2024 Benton County Residents voted for their choice of candidates that will be voted on in November's Election. Of the 18,644 registered voters, only 2,439 ballots were cast, or 13.08%. For Sheriff, residents chose between the two Republican candidates Dave Upah with 1,618 votes to Ted Paxton's 529 votes with no candidates from the Democratic Party or Libertarian Party.
